FAQs

What do you mean by 'passion'?
In this context, “passion” is not a dramatic, movie-soundtrack feeling. Your passions are those things that genuinely bring your life joy and meaning. The Passion Test is a structured way to get clear on what those are for you right now (which may not be what they were 20 years ago), and what to do next.
What will I Get Out Of Taking The Passion Test?
You walk away with:
- Your top five passions, clearly stated in your own words
- A simple framework for turning clarity into action, instead of just another nice idea on a list
- The secret to guarantee a more passion-filled, meaningful life starting immediately
- Tools for handling the usual obstacles: fear, doubt, overthinking, and “I’ll start on Monday”.
Who benefits the most from taking The Passion Test?
Almost anyone can benefit. But it tends to be especially useful if you:
- Are in a life transition (retirement, relocation, empty nest, career change, divorce, a recent health event)
- Feel stuck or restless, even though life looks fine on paper
- Have too many interests and need a grounded way to decide what actually deserves your focus
I work with seniors at a senior services organization, retirement community, or church group. Do you do this for groups?
Yes! The group workshop format works especially well for senior services programs, retirement communities, faith groups, civic organizations, and large organizations whose members are in or nearing retirement. The length can be adapted to your schedule – from one hour to three. Reach out through the Contact page and we’ll talk about what would fit best with your group.
Where Can I learn more about The Passion Test?
- The book that all this is based on: The Passion Test
- The international organization: Passion Test Worldwide.
How Much Does It Cost?
- One-On-One Sessions, Live and In-Person: $195 total, for 2 sessions and all materials
- One-on-One Session, Live and Online: $495 for 4 sessions and all materials.
- Group Workshops: $75 (one-time), covers all materials and training
How Does It Differ From Life Coaching?
- Time: Traditional coaching often unfolds over months. The Passion Test is two in-person sessions over 1-2 weeks, or four online sessions over 4 weeks, or one 3-hour workshop. Defined start, defined finish.
- One Main Tool: A life coach may pull from many frameworks. I focus on one – The Passion Test – plus a few practical techniques for moving past common roadblocks.
- Bottom line: If you want clarity, direction, and a doable next step, this is built for that. If you are looking for a long-term coaching relationship, this may be a good starting point, but it’s not the whole journey.
Are you a life coach? A wellness coach? A retirement coach?
Honest answer: adjacent to all of those, but not exactly any of them. What I do is closer to purpose coaching or retirement coaching focused on a single, time-tested tool. If you searched for “life coach near me” or “wellness coach Austin” and landed here, you’re in the right neighborhood – just on a slightly more focused street.
I'm not in Austin. Can I still work with you?
Yes. The 4-week online version is built for exactly that. People could be anywhere across the US or the globe, as long as there is a reliable internet connection. Still figuring out how to serve off-planet folks.
